Sponsorship Terms & Conditions: Young Golfers in Africa

Port St Johns Golf Club (a trading name of GOLFERSCARDINTL (Pty) Ltd)

1. About the Programme

The Young Golfers in Africa programme (the "Programme") is a junior golf development initiative run by Port St Johns Golf Club, a trading name of GOLFERSCARDINTL (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us", "our"). The Programme introduces young people from local schools and communities in the Port St Johns area to golf, providing coaching, equipment, competition entry, and a pathway into the club structure.

2. Your Sponsorship

2.1 When you make a sponsorship contribution ("Sponsorship"), you agree to these terms.

2.2 Sponsorships are accepted from individuals, businesses, and organisations worldwide.

2.3 There is no minimum sponsorship amount, but suggested amounts are provided on the sponsor form.

2.4 All Sponsorships are in South African Rand (ZAR).

3. Use of Funds

3.1 All sponsorship funds are ring-fenced for the Programme and used for:

·       Junior golf coaching and training sessions

·       Golf equipment and apparel

·       Tournament entry fees, travel, accommodation, and meals

·       HNA (GolfRSA) membership fees for junior players

·       Programme administration costs directly related to the junior programme

3.2 We are committed to transparency. An annual summary of funds raised and spent is available on request by emailing ben@golferscard.co.za.

4. Tax Deductibility

⚠️ IMPORTANT: Sponsorship contributions to the Programme are NOT tax-deductible under Section 18A of the Income Tax Act, 1962. GOLFERSCARDINTL (Pty) Ltd is a private company and does not hold Public Benefit Organisation (PBO) status. Donors are encouraged to seek independent tax advice.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 All Sponsorships are final and non-refundable once processed.

5.2 In the exceptional circumstance that the Programme is discontinued or funds cannot be applied for their intended purpose, we will redirect unspent funds to another junior golf or community sports initiative with similar objectives and will notify sponsors accordingly.

6. Acknowledgement and Anonymity

6.1 By default, sponsors are acknowledged on our website and social media, unless you select "List my sponsorship anonymously" on the sponsor form.

6.2 We will not publish the specific amount of your sponsorship without your consent.

7. Personal Information

7.1 We collect and process your personal information (name, email, sponsorship amount) in accordance with our Privacy Policy, which is available at www.psjgolf.co.za/privacy-policy.

7.2 By making a sponsorship, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

7.3 If you tick "Email me club news, updates and offers", you consent to receiving marketing communications. You may unsubscribe at any time.

8. General

8.1 We reserve the right to modify or cancel the Programme at any time, subject to the refund policy in clause 5.

8.2 These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.

8.3 If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remainder will continue in full force and effect.
